TrainFX has been awarded a major contract by LNWR for the provision of their real-time passenger information system for the Angel owned/Arriva Trains Wales operated Class 158 Diesel Multiple Unit (DMU) fleet.
The Derby-based Rail Technology Company will be responsible for the provision of complete system design and supply of the TrainFX Passenger Information, Communication and Security system (PICS) – Passenger Information (pi) module for 24 x 2-car Class 158 DMU’s.
The system supply will form part of a wider refurbishment and overhaul scope being undertaken by LNWR at their site in Crewe, commencing early in 2011.
TrainFX Managing Director Phil Campbell said: “This is another important Contract success for TrainFX and one which allows us to continue to demonstrate our new passenger information system to Refurbishment companies and to UK Train Operators”.
